Long, uncertain waiting-room time increases patient anxiety and often carries into the appointment, making clinical work harder for dentists.

Solution

Providing each patient with a real-time ETA. AI predicts delays and updates start times in real time, cutting waiting-room time and reducing pre-appointment stress—without changing clinical workflows.

Constrains

We designed under tight MVP constraints: a narrow scope, strict healthcare data handling, varied clinic workflows, and a fast timeline — while keeping the experience simple for both patients and staff.

Impact

After desk research, netnography, 6 interviews, a questionaire (+160 answers) and a mystery shopper, we extracted the following main insights:

Waiting rooms heighten patients’ anxiety, as waiting time and the environment intensify stress and discomfort.

Anxious patients slow treatments and increase dentists’ emotional strain, disrupting the overall clinic flow.
